Retrosaria - wool from Portugal

Retrosaria is a wonderful shop in the heart of Lisbon in Portugal. Retrosaria - which means something like haberdashy shop, like a nostalgic corner shop for all kinds of needs around handiwork and crafts.

Retrosaria was started by Rosa Pomar in 2008 as an online shop, in 2009 a brick and mortar store followed. Rosa Pomar is always looking for locally produced and traditionally crafted products.

We stock her Beiroa, a wool of Portuguese Bordaleira Serra da Estrela sheep, and Zagal, a Portuguese Merino yarn. Both in a range of bright and beautiful colours.
