Payment and Shipping
A note about EU shipping:
Unfortunately, we can no longer ship to all EU countries. The packaging licence rules and associated costs in each of the 27 member states have become increasingly complicated and expensive for small businesses.
You can find all the countries we currently ship to listed below or during checkout. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope this is only a temporary measure and that the EU may find a standard solution that covers all EU countries.
Update on U.S. shipping (9th October 2025):
DHL opened shipping to the U.S. again, but unfortunately, for the time being, this is only possible via their parcel service, not via the much more affordable 'Warenpost' option.
This means shipping costs currently start at 33 EUR (around 38 USD) for a parcel, plus 15% customs duties, costs for the PDDP service (which allows the seller to cover all import duties on behalf of the recipient), and handling fees.
For the time being, I’ve decided to wait a little longer before reopening U.S. shipping, hoping that 'Warenpost' will soon be available again.
From 22 August 2025, we will (hopefully only temporarily) have to pause shipping to the USA. DHL has announced restrictions on parcels to the United States and stresses that this measure is temporary. The reason is new U.S. customs regulations: according to the Executive Order “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for all Countries”, the previous duty-free threshold for parcels under 800 USD will be abolished. Starting 29 August 2025, almost all imports into the USA will be subject to customs duties – except for private gifts under 100 USD. We very much regret this inconvenience and hope that shipping to the USA will be possible again soon. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience!

At the moment, deliveries are only made within some EU countries and overseas countries. If your country is unavailable, please don't hesitate to contact us (info(at)garnstories.de).
Shipping costs (within Germany and the EU, inclusive of legally applicable VAT)
Germany:
Orders within Germany are shipped with DHL for ¤ 5.90 (incl. tracking)
We offer free shipping within Germany for all orders of 100 Euro or more value of goods (Clubs not included).
Clubs:
Shipping (three instalments): 15 Euro

Please note: If you order from an EU country outside the Euro area, your bank may charge a fee for the bank transfer. Please make sure in advance that you have all the necessary information. Bank fees of any kind shall be borne by the buyer.
Alternatively, you can pay via PayPal. The arising transaction fees are at our expense.
Delivery time
Unless no other delivery times are stated in the item descriptions, the delivery within Germany takes 1-3 days, to countries of the EU 3 - 8 days and 5 - 21 days to non-EU countries after order confirmation (in case an advance payment has been agreed upon, after the payment authorisation).
Please note that there is no shipping, and no deliveries are made on Sundays and other holidays.
If you've purchased products with different delivery times, we will ship the goods in one parcel unless another agreement is made. In this case, the delivery time is determined according to the article with the longest delivery time you have purchased.
Terms of payment
You have the following options of payment:
- Advance payment via standard bank transfer (EU countries only)
- Advance payment via PayPal (worldwide)
If you are paying via bank transfer, we kindly ask you to pay within seven working days.
